(c) Kwarokuro Endo, the Commercial Attaché, Hong Kong,

calls himself Commercial Correspondent of the

Japanese Department of Commerce and Industry attached

to the Japanese Consulate-General at Hong Kong, but

it is noticed his office is not at the Consulate,

but at his private address 21, Kennedy Road. Was

attached to the Japanese Consulate at Canton for

eight yeare prior to transfer to Hong Kong on

7.4.35.

(d)Chonosuke Tonegi, Chancellor to the Japanese Consul

at Canton, arrived from Japan 28.E.36, holds

diplomatic passport No.291461 issued at Tokyo in

January, 1936. Headed investigation party which

went to Hainan in September, 1936, to investigate the Pakhoi Anti-Japanese incident, went by gunboat "Saga”.

(*)Giichi Yasumura, arrived in Hong Kong on 7.2.36.

Lives on Macdonnell Road at the same address as the

M.B.K. Mess. Describes himself as employee of South

Manchurian kailway and said on arrival that he was

here to study Cantonese.

China Development Company as he is known to be in

correspondence with the branch office at 65, British

Concession, Shameen, Canton, and also with the

Headquarters or the Organisation in Dairen;

being no office in Hong Kong as far as is known.

Makes frequent trips to Canton and frequently

receives reports from Dairen and Shameen of an

economic nature. Moves in the best Japanese

circles/
